Ideal Music Lessons was started by founder, Mike Salow. Having taught in-home music lessons for close to a decade, Mike decided to start his own in-home lessons company in early 2018 after the sudden closure of McNally Smith College of Music, his previous place of work. The company started as Lessons With Mike LLC and grew to over 40 students. This forced Mike to hire on new teachers and would ultimately lead to the creation of Ideal Music Lessons. What Set's Us Apart?
Many in-home music lesson services seem to lack a sense of community. At Ideal Music Lessons we strive to bring our students and teachers together through recitals as well as other events like Halloween parties or summer barbecues. All students have recital opportunities 2 to 3 times a year at a top of the line venue in Fridley, MN. Redeemer Lutheran Church provides an outstanding recital experience through the use of their massive stage, pro sound/lighting, and video/audio recording capabilities. We've even had students perform over Skype via the gigantic video monitors on stage!
The Ideal Way
At Ideal Music Lessons we believe that happy teachers make even happier students. This is why we pay our teachers more than other companies as well as providing commissions and incentives for other tasks like signing up students for recitals or bringing in new students. We want to empower the Twin Cities music scene so that it may flourish and prosper for generations to come.
